Rooftop Blues

Ugh. I hate Philippine weather. One day it's raining so hard with gusting wind the next day it's so sweltering hot. So unpredictable. =/

Anyways, as per usual, school has been eating up lots of my time these past few weeks, lots of interbatch/intercollege competitions, and with modeling as highlights, which is where as expected I was assigned, and not to mention exams, loads of them. Late nights at school and at Starbucks,skipping meals, and lack of sleep, all of them had added up and had me ending up with terrible migraines and colds and high fevers. Sometimes I just wanna give up and just go back home to our province and enjoy a stress-free life, but if I do that, all of my hard work, and not to mention my parents', will all just go to waste, and I don't never want that to happen.

Okay, so enough of the drama. Let's replace that instead with dramatic pictures. haha, kidding. I just wanna show you guys my current favorite item of clothing, a sweater, a very comfortable one, that I got from a thrift shop for a very low price. =) I just love it, perfect for rainy weathers. (I just wanna mention too that these pictures were taken way before all the hectic activities at school, thus the smiling and not-so-stressful looking face  haha)

Oh, Did I mention that just turned 21y.o.  last July 25? Start of a new decade of my life. I just hope it will be a fruitful one. =)

I'm gonna run this town

It's raining outside while I'm typing this. I'm listening to some random music on my phone while lying on my cozy bed. Nothing much enters my mind that could make this supposedly outfit post seem more interesting than it really is. I have a great story in my mind to tell you about the day these photos were taken, but the cold weather and the school stress seem to be freezing my mind as well, so I can't find the right words to describe them, and I'm terribly sorry about that. Actually I am not,as of the moment that is,maybe later I will be. All I want to do right now is finish this and publish, then just go and snuggle with my not so cuddly pillows and take advantage of the cold weather that is rather unusual in a tropical country like ours. so yeah. Maybe I'll be back later and make a better post and tell you more of that "adventure" that I mentioned.so..okay. bye.. 

oh yeah, did I mention that I changed my blog title? no? so there you go, I did. I'll talk more about that in my next post as well.=)

A Good Hair Day

Hey you guize! How was your Hearts Day yesterday? I hope it went well coz mine certainly didn't. I spent mine alone, suffering a massive headache and a series of unfortunate events. But don't yah worry about me coz I'm all fine now! Waaay better than yesterday.

Anyways, if you wonder about the title to this post, it's because the day these photos were taken, I was feeling like my hair was in its best state. I know, my best friend always tells me I have nice hair, but I don't know, it doesn't really feel that way most of the time. But that day was an exception, I really felt like my hair was feeling photogenic as I was. haha.So as a result, here is a photodump of photos taken around Plazuela de Iloilo. Pops of Colors

You know, at the start of the year, I vowed to become more active in blogging, become more adventurous and more creative. Well, for the sake of me and of course for the sake of making this blog alive. haha. I'm trying to make that happen, one step at a time. In the last post, I had my photos taken in a public area, so the "adventurous" part of the promise is kind of taken care of. In this post, I guess it's a little bit of the "adventurous" and "creative" part. Adventurous and creative at the same time because I've finally wore a bit of make up, the red lipstick! yay me. haha.

Denim on Denim

I am very much loving the weather these past few days, aren't you? Perfect time to pretend you're not in a tropical country but somewhere else, some place that has snow and four seasons and not just rain or sun all year round. This is really a perfect time to pull out those long hidden sweaters and coats and boots that if you wore on a normal sunny day would only gain you weird stares from strangers. haha.

Anyways, I'm pretty much still busy with school stuff, exams twice a week, school paper assignments and well, enjoying the weather. I'm at Starbucks right now while writing this, taking a time off studying accounting lessons. While my study buddy is roaming the nearby mall to take a break, I'm here using his laptop while leeching the coffee shop's wifi to blog about my look yesterday.

Would you believe me if I said this denim dress is only Php 50.00? because it really is. I got it from a thrift shop here in Iloilo. And speaking of thrift shops, someone asked me in my tumblr what thrift shops here in Iloilo I could recommend. There are actually a lot of them here, and since I know that most of my readers in this blog are Ilonggos and love thrift shopping, I think it would be better if I make a weekly/twice a week feature of thriftshops I could recommend here in Iloilo and maybe buy some there and show you guys whatever I buy. Let's just see about that. haha.

I've been on a lot of thrifting lately, and I found lots of good stuff. This is one of my favorite thrift find. I love the flower details on the side and the fact that it's crocheted. And I got it for only Php 100. Watta luck. <3

Desperate Enough

Last Friday, we were asked to help for the preparation of Pasundayag by our accounting professor for an exchange of +5 points to our first long exam. Because of that 5 points that we were so desperate to take, we end up being the first people to arrive to the place where we were gonna do the preparation, we even beat the faculty and staff whom we were gonna help. But nevertheless,it gave us time to have breakfast first and consume the much needed energy that's gonna be eaten up afterwards.

It was so much fun helping the professor dress up because they were so "jologs" and they made us laugh all the time. We almost forgot that they were also the same people who made us shiver inside the walls of the classrooms.
