Shorts: Thrifted
Shoes: Archive Clothing
Accessories: random stalls

This was my look yesterday but I didn't get to post it because I had a major headache, I didn't even get to touch the laptop. That day was so stressful that I wasn't able to do anything productive. I also got my hair cut that day. I just got it shaped and trimmed to get rid of the split ends. Sorry for the haggard look in the last picture,it's really obvious that I wasn't feeling well. But I'm okay now, so I have to get back to study. Gotta prepare for the exams and lots of school activities.=))

Jeans: SM dept Store
Sandals:Parisian
Bag: Parisian
Necklace: SPICES
Rings: YRYS

Had a presentation about Filipino culture during our Fil 10 class. It was so much fun,had a good laugh at every groups' short skit even though everyone wasn't so prepared. Even ours was just prepared 30 mins before the class, but the randomness of it made it so much more fun and our true selves really showed.

Btw, the top I was wearing was one of the stuff I got during the bazaar at Robinson's. I really love the print and the other one's print was also so nice,I can't wait to wear it.<3

Top: my mother's
Jeans: Freego
Shoes: Ikrish and Kurt
Accessories:SPICES

Woke up at 6 am today feeling groggy and stubborn but I had to because my bestie and I promised to go jogging. We went to Starbucks afterward to have breakfast then went to her house to check out her newly decorated study area. (Check out more about it on my other blog just-point-and-shoot.blogspot.com).

Afterwards, I went back to the dormitory to change clothes and went to church. I barely wear high-heeled shoes at school, in fact, I only wore one once and it stopped there. It was an embarrassing experience and I'd rather not tell more about it. So,about the outfit. The top is my mom's which I asked from her because I loved it when I first saw it. The shoes is one of my favorites because I love its simplicity and I love that it adds a good 3 inches to my height. I love it also because it looks nice whatever you pair it with, may it be jeans, shorts, skirts or dresses. This one I'll dare to wear at school even though it's a little painful to wear because of its studs. I'm still trying to find a good excuse to wear it, may be during our Executive Attire days on one of my subjects (which I'm really excited about).

Don't forget to check out my other blog:  just-point-and-shoot.blogspot.com

Tee: SM Dept. Store
Shorts: Thrifted
Shoes: Advan
Accessories: SPICE & Bazaars

Woke up to a sunny day this morning, and a curve suddenly formed on my lips.I took it as an opportunity to wear shorts since I haven't in a long time. I paired it with a breezy cropped top (first 4 photos) but after a few minutes, decided against it. I instead wore an ordinary tee because I just feel like it. I met up then with my bestie and just strolled around the mall. I didn't stay long though because I wasn't feeling well, but the bazaar I saw on the mall made up for it. Unexpectedly, I bought 2 cropped tops, 1 shorts, and 2 cardigans.=D Hoping for more days like this one so that I'd be able to wear the tops I wore.

It's been a rainy week and as expected, the streets of Iloilo were overflowing with rain (and dirty) water. Slippers or sandals won't do for me because it would certainly just cause me illnesses which I can't afford to have right now since school works need all of my energy. Good thing I have these amazing knock-offs of Doc Marten boots which I found at a thrift store (I know, LUCKY ME) which could protect my feet from all the bacteria from the rain water. It was my first time to wear it at school and I was really hesitant at first, but then, what the hell. Even though I received weird looks from people I met at school, my friends gave me consolation for the good comments that they said. It was only then that I realized that the shoes were too big for me, because when I bought it from the thrift store, I was so excited and giddy that I didn't even bother to try it on. to make up for the excess space inside the shoe, I wore a pair of very thick socks, which fortunately worked out.
Now, every time I wake up, I silently pray for rain to come so that I'll have an excuse to wear these amazing gift sent from heaven above. Lols. =))

Skirt: Downtown
Top: Random
Cardigan: from a friend
Shoes: old one
Necklace: Spices

I usually find rare pieces if I just have enough patience and perseverance to go downtown. And it's usually suitable for my student budget. But of course, I never take quality for granted. Like this skirt I found on a random stall downtown. When I saw it, I knew I just had to buy it. The print and color is so adorable and the quality is so good that I know it would stand the test of time. The first time I wore this to school, I received lots of comments, good ones of course. They weren't used to seeing me wearing skirts cause I usually wear shorts or jeans, but they said it looked good on me.

Top: Thrifted
Jeans: SM Dept Store
Necklace and Rings: Spices Online

This top is one of my favorite thrift finds. I super adore the pattern and the color combination. Can you believe I only got it at Php 100.00? It's certainly a steal.=)

About the rings, no, I didn't wore them all at once. I only took a picture of them all because I noticed I have quite a growing collection of ribbon rings. I just love them all because it makes me feel so girly even though I don't think I'm that girly. Lols. Whatever.^_^

Student on a Tight Budget

I've recently came to realize that my old blog Just Point and Shoot din't turn out as i intended it to be.It was supposed to be a fashion blog but I didn't had the courage to post my looks because they weren't stylish enough compared to the other fashion bloggers. But now, I have decided I don't care anymore, as long as I show my own style, it's "stylish" enough.Period.

That's why I decided to make a separate blog for it because I think it's not a good idea to have fashion posts on my old blog, it would be out of place. I decided that the JP&S blog would be like my online diary (as I've said on the side bar) while this one would be dedicated to fashion.

As for the title of this blog, I called it "Chic yet Practical" because that's how I describe my style.I am a student that basically relies on my budget to be able to buy what I want.  Most of my clothes came from thrift bars, bazaars, and department stores but I made sure it wouldn't look like one.  I try my best to style them in a way that it wouldn't look ordinary. How I wish I would succeed.
